This year’s Future of Technology in Education (FOTE) conference will host a “pitchfest” for technology start-ups who have great ideas for the education sector.
FOTE, which is run by the University of London Computer Centre (ULCC), is calling for companies to pitch their ideas to an audience of over 300 education technologists, IT directors, CIOs and senior managers. Applicants should be either directly or indirectly working on solutions aimed at the education sector and can be at any stage of development, from creating the prototype to building their customer base for the finished product. If selected, they will have three minutes to pitch their ideas and impress the judges.
Frank Steiner, Marketing Manager for ULCC said, “The idea for this competition was partly inspired by a similar start-up event at Thinking Digital earlier this year, plus it is a natural extension of the 140 Challenge we held at a previous conference. We’re excited to see what new and innovative ideas people will bring to the table.”
For more information on how to apply, visit the FOTE 2014 website. Submissions close on Friday 12th September 2014.
