Westminster Business School launches leadership training

The first in a series of high-intensity leadership workshops will be held on Thursday evening at Westminster Business School, to help business leaders tackle challenges and issues faced by board members and senior personnel.

The interactive workshops will focus on enhancing communication and problem solving skills and will also build in music and comedy, say the organisers. Executive coach Kiki Maurey OBE and Comedy Store co-founder Neil Mullarkey are both scheduled to lead sessions.

In the first workshop, which will take place on the college’s Marylebone campus from 4-7.30pm, participants will explore ways to approach a difficult conversation, particularly when this involves criticism of individuals, teams or the wider organisation.

Leadership Perspectives is an innovative series of workshops, designed to encourage the development of skills often neglected but critical to the success of senior management and board members,” said Professor Barbara Allan, Dean of Westminster Business School.

The programme will encourage participants to apply innovative ideas and new techniques to help them to approach challenging situations with added confidence. Leadership Perspectives is delivered by an exciting array of guest speakers and it complements the applied research and professional practices within the Westminster Business School.”
