High street bank Santander came out top at the Business Moneyfacts Awards on Thursday, winning ‘best business current account’ for the thirteenth year in a row.
The bank won four awards in total: Business Bank of the Year, Best Business Current Account Provider, Best International Solutions Provider and Innovation in the SME Finance Sector. It was also highly commended in the Business Startup Bank of the Year category.
Marcelino Castrillo, Santander’s Managing Director of SME Banking for the UK, said that he was “delighted” with the outcome, which he felt reflected the bank’s “overall value proposition” and “range of international solutions” in support of SMEs.
“We are extremely proud and delighted to have won the Business Bank of the Year award,” added Robin Foale, Managing Director of Business Banking.
“This award, alongside having been recognised as the Best Business Current Account Provider for the 13th successive year, is a real testimony to the outstanding proposition that we have and how we continue to help businesses to prosper.”
