Local Business Week is here, and after the recent General Election, the event is calling on Business Secretary Sajid Javid and Minsiter for Small Businesses Anna Soubry to tackle some of the biggest issues concerning small businesses.
The nationwide event, which is taking place between 18th-24th May, aims to gain more support for the future of small British businesses.
As well as calling on the government and business ministers, Local Business Week is calling upon entrepreneurial, managerial, financial and technical experts to give advice and resources that small business owners can use to compete with the big guys.
“We work with small businesses every day and we know they struggle with promotion and marketing – which is why Local Business Week is a great way to raise awareness of all of the challenges and benefits of being involved in a local business,” said Liz Crampton, community and customer manager at 10to8, a supporter of Local Business Week.
