Applications are now open for the Small Biz 100 – a centrepiece of the run up to Small Business Saturday on December 3rd.
Small Biz 100 will feature 100 SMEs that best illustrate the drive, innovation and success of the UK’s small businesses, with each one having a day in the sun, where they receive exposure on social media and other channels.
For the last three years, the 100 have not only received that exposure and in the local press, but also joined the Small Business Saturday team in London at receptions in both Downing Street and The Treasury Drum with the Chancellor of the Exchequer, George Osborne.
The organisers of this year’s event are hoping to build on 2015’s momentum, when, among other things,
- Customers spent £623m with small businesses on Small Business Saturday, an increase of £119m or 24% on 2014
- #SmallBizSatUK trended at number 1 all day on Small Business Saturday with over 100,000 tweets sent in support of the day, reaching more than 25 million people
- Over 75% of local councils actively supported the campaign, delivering on the ground activities including free parking, Christmas fairs and small business networking events plus much much more
Applications close on June 30thth, 2016. Successful applicants will be notified by email in August.
