A new expansive space for entrepreneurs, startups and creatives called Interchange is launching in the heart of Camden this week.
84,000 sq ft
It covers approximately 84,000 sq ft of space, and will offer a range of support and facilities such as an on-site gym, restaurant, bar and event spaces, and importantly will also provide access to affiliate investors and industry specialists.
Furthermore, startups will be able to carve out their own retail space in Camden Markets, which could be a huge boost to those businesses just starting out given that it has over 28 million visitors per year and is London’s third largest business district after the City and Westminster.
“We have been inspired by the history of the market as a key ‘Interchange’ of commerce and trade and we’re now supporting the future of business in Camden,” said Vanessa Butz, managing director of Interchange.
Interchange is spread over three sites; Atrium and Triangle, the primary Interchange locations are based in Camden Markets and will open from the beginning of October 2015.
A further site, Utopia, situated in Primrose Hill, is available now and provides larger office space for growing and established companies.
The office and coworking space infrastructure, designed by leading architects Barr Gazetas, is focused on true community working through expert curation of complex floor plans and space use. Office space available will range from private offices for growing companies, to flexible desk space for entrepreneurs that can be rented by the day.
The venture is backed by Market Tech Holdings, a public company that combines iconic real estate assets with e-commerce. Charles Butler, CEO of Market Tech said, “Camden Markets has always been a strong supporter of entrepreneurs, with the variety of traders that make up its eclectic and vast retail area. With the addition of Interchange, we see this as a great opportunity to further support startups and small businesses to realise their potential within this vibrant environment.”
